20 New Cases, 37 Resolved

COVID-19 cases are gradually declining with 20 new cases in the Thunder Bay District.

The Health Unit is reporting another 37 cases are considered resolved.

That makes 362 active cases in the District, after the area spent nearly two weeks with over 400 active infections earlier this month.

Out of the latest confirmed cases, there are:

  • Three who caught the virus within their own household
  • Nine got it through other close contact
  • One is part of the Walford Retirement Home outbreak
  • Five had no known exposure
  • Two causes are still being confirmed

Cases are trending upward again province-wide, as Ontario reports 1,791 people testing positive. It’s the province’s third day in a row with more than 1,700 new cases.
