Police Arrest Wanted Suspect

A suspect wanted in a recent standoff has been arrested.

Thunder Bay police say local resident Owen John Boyce, 23-years-old, was found at a bar in the south end at around 10pm, Sunday night.

He was wanted in connection to an incident involving a gun last week in the Picton Avenue area.

21-year-old Brianna Lynn Netemegesic, also of Thunder Bay, is still wanted for her alleged involvement in the same case.

Boyce is expected in bail court today.

Police add if you see Netemegesic, do not approach her but call 911 immediately.

Police were called to the north end area Thursday night concerning someone who had pointed a gun at someone else, with the investigation leading them to a home in the area where it was believed the suspects were holding up. Roughly 12 hours later, police released the names and pictures of the two wanted suspects, who were not found in the house.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
