This year’s Empty Bowls Caring Hearts fundraiser has seen plenty of support.
The event usually sees people buy handmade bowls and a meal, but it’s limited to just the bowls due to the pandemic.
Co-chair Robin Cooper says they’ve managed to raise $13,000 of their $14,000 goal.
“We’re getting pretty close to being sold out, so we hope that if we do sell out, folks will still be willing to make a donation. We’ve set that option up on the online ticket sales portal,” Cooper explains.
Ticket holders can pick up their bowls at the Moose Hall this Saturday between 11am and 4pm, with all proceeds going to Shelter House and the Thunder Bay Food Bank.
