Hajdu Seeks Youth Advisors

Patty Hajdu is looking for young people to give her their feedback as part of her Youth Advisory Council.

The Thunder Bay-Superior North MP says they’ll work with her over online meetings during the school year, and advocate for what they want to see.

In the past, Hajdu says the Councils have given her suggestions for policy, looked at government plans, proposing platform ideas, and carried out projects that make life better in her riding.

Hajdu says she wants to listen to people who aren’t usually given a voice in politics.

“Young people, especially at the younger ages, don’t vote in this country, and yet have passionate ideas about the future of this country,” Hajdu points out, adding those same youth will go on to lead communities, provinces, and potentially the federal government.

Young people from ages 16 to 22 can apply online until September 25th.
