HNO Develops A Return To Hockey Plan

The Return to Hockey plan for Hockey Northwestern Ontario has been approved by the Northwestern and Thunder Bay District Health Units.

That means Associations from across the north can start preparing and develop plans for a new season.

Under the framework agreement, game play is not permitted until mid-October.

It also allows for people in the stands as long as the number doesn’t exceed that on the ice.

HNO President Jason Perrier says the plan is a long time coming and although the release is later in the summer that they would have liked, it was extremely important that they got their framework right and received permission from health officials.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
