$200,000 in donations will improve how patients get their medication at the Regional Hospital.
The hospital was able to buy some specialized medication cabinets thanks to the donations to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation.
The cabinets dispense the exact type and amount of medication ordered by a doctor and authorized by a pharmacist, preventing any mix-ups of similar-sounding drugs.
This also helps the hospital closely track what medication patients get.
