A City Councillor is skeptical about a plan to put $30-million in the indoor turf facility.
Mark Bentz says Council will debate next Monday whether to borrow 12-million and take another 18-million from reserves.
“I mean if the community is willing to take that gamble, and feel comfortable with not getting anything from the governments for this type of facility, that is fine too but I don’t share that opinion,” Bentz says.
The Councillor is also concerned that many people may not pay attention to the turf facility discussion because of the pandemic and the summer season.
