The Lakehead Public School Board is preparing for all three possible models for learning this fall.
Director of Education Ian MacRae said they are looking to offer in-person and online classes in the fall.
“Our incidents of the virus continue to be minimal and we are hoping to get to the full in-class model as soon as possible. I think based off the statistics in Ontario we would be one of those areas that would be looked on favourably,” MacRae said.
The public board hopes to have their proposed model in to the province this July with the province giving the final approval later this summer.
“The province has given us flexibility to develop what we think we’d like but then they’ll tell us whether what we’ve developed is acceptable,” MacRae noted.
