New Equipment Helps Marathon Hospital

A $34,000 grant will let Marathon’s hospital do more colorectal cancer screening.

Wilson Memorial General Hospital was able to buy a second endoscopy reprocessor, which is used to disinfect their screening equipment.

“Our current reprocessor is 11 years old and was starting to fail intermittently,” says Chief Nursing Officer Janet Gobeil.

Hospital officials say they’re grateful for the money from the Northern Cancer Fund.
