Man Loses Life Boating On Drift Lake

There’s another plea from provincial police to wear a life jacket when heading onto the lake when boating.

They say a 62-year-old man has died after his boat capsized Tuesday afternoon on Drift Lake, west of Thunder Bay.

OPP say Antonio Arruda, a local man, wasn’t wearing a life jacket.

The marine unit responded and found the unconscious man on shore.

He was taken the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center by ORNGE air ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
