Premier Doug Ford says he is blown away by the support he’s seen from Ontario manufacturers looking to produce ventilators for our hospitals.
Ford told media four manufacturers are working together to turn around the production of the vital medical equipment.
“We can’t rely on the rest of the world when they are in crisis. The manufacturing might of Ontario we’ll produce them, we’ll make them for Ontario, for the rest of Canada and the world when these companies are up and running in the next couple of weeks,” Ford said.
Ford says if our province produces extra ventilators the companies will ship them around the world to help fight COVID-19.
