The number of people in Canada who have contracted the coronavirus continues to grow.
Health Canada says as of Sunday night at around 6 o’clock, there were 304 confirmed cases, with 17 probable.
Provincially, Ontario has the most with 142 confirmed, that number was 101 yesterday morning, with 0 probable. British Columbia has the second most confirmed as of last night at 73 confirmed. Nova Scotia and Newfoundland are the only provinces not to have any cases.
The good news remains for Thunder Bay, with no one testing positive, 11 had negative test results recently, with one still waiting. One person in Fort Frances tested positive this weekend.
The list of places closing is growing again, with Fort William Historical Park shuttering the doors until Sunday, April 5th, and Good Life Fitness and FitForLess are closing until further notice, which includes the Thunder Bay locations.
Monday morning at 10, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit will provide an update on how it’s handling the virus. Premier Ford and Health Minister Christine Elliott will speak this morning, and this afternoon at 1 o’clock, the Prime Minister is expected to announce restrictions for international flights.
