Liberal Leader Squares Off Against NDP Criticism

The new leader of the Ontario Liberals is coming out swinging against his fellow party leaders.

Steven Del Duca addressed an NDP statement that was critical of his work as the Liberal Transport Minister and said he can take it, he has broad shoulders.

“Doug Ford and Andrea Horwath can keep attacking me and focusing on me, but we (the Liberals) will focus on the 15 million people that call this province home,” Del Duca added.

The NDP released a statement Wednesday that stated the former Transportation Minister needs to apologize for his Northern roads maintenance record.

Del Duca told reporters Ontario voters can’t trust Andrea Horwath to stop Doug Ford and his PC government in the next provincial election.

The next provincial election is set for June 2022. During Del Duca’s visit, MPP Michael Gravelle confirmed to media he intends to run in the next provincial election.
