Economy, Immigration In State Of Union Address

President Donald Trump focused on what he’s calling the strong American economy in his latest State of the Union address.

That was just one of several topics he discussed last night, while also going after illegal immigration and what he called Sanctuary Cities, accusing them of contributing to rape and murder.

He also honoured talk show host Rush Limbaugh, who has cancer.

The President honoured a woman who’s husband is fighting in the military, with a surprise visit by the husband during last night’s speech.

However, many observers are noting the obvious tension in the room. While Trump spoke of illegal immigration, Sanctuary Cities and economy, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrats visibly showed their displeasure with next to no applause, and Pelosi ripped the President’s speech up at the end.

As for the Iowa Caucus race for the Democrats presidential nomination, Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Senator Bernie Sanders were in the lead for results at latest count.
