Province-wide action by English Catholic teachers closed schools today including in Thunder Bay.
Aldo Grillo is with the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association says the province isn’t budging in their negotiations.
“There has been money and limited resources in elementary and class size effects in grades four to eight and the government seem completely unprepared to deal with these matters at the bargaining table so that’s where we are,” says Grillo.
We will see another one-day strike on Thursday, that one affecting public elementary schools.
