While Thunder Bay is seeing a few centimetres of snow today, more is expected for the area to the east of us.
The Nipigon, Rossport, Marathon, and Schreiber areas are under a snowfall warning, with 15 to 20 centimetres forecast.
That is expected to taper off overnight.
Severe Weather Meteorologist Weiqing Zhang explains it’s because of a system moving east over Lake Superior. She notes Marathon will see more of that snow in the afternoon, up to 15 cm, with around 10 cm falling in Nipigon.
There are no outages according to Hydro One.
