Paramedics Give Out Flu Shots

There’s another chance to get your flu shot this week as local paramedics will be giving them out on Wednesday.

Superior North EMS spokesperson Marika Listenmaa explains it’s vital you get your flu shot so you don’t tax are already busy health care system. “We know that there is a higher number of people that get the flu and that they go to the hospital and that just overloads the already taxed system.”

Listenmaa notes they are “really good at giving needles” and if you need to get vaccinated from influenza now would be a time to get it.

The flu shot clinic is from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Junot Avenue EMS station. Paramedics also held a flu-shot clinic for the public on Monday at City Hall from 3:30 to 4:30.
