VIDEO: Owner Vows To Continue Gym

The owner of the Underground Gym keeps using the term “blown away” in describing the condition of the gym after a fire.

Peter Panetta took his first walk through today, and says he was impressed with how well the facility survived a fire that ripped through the building housing Hell’s Angel’s and European Bakery.

In fact, Panetta suggested he might even try re-opening next week.

The gym owner also had very high praise for Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue for how they fought the fire in keeping so much of the gym equipment in tact.

Panetta adds if he has to, he’ll take the kids that go to the gym elsewhere, which includes an offer of another building, details of which he wouldn’t disclose except the price of $85,000.

He also said the kids weren’t too concerned with the building, adding they were texting him about what he was planning to do with them later in the day.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
