Thunder Bay Blues Festival is ALMOST HERE! I’m so incredibly pumped. There are so many artists I’m excited to see, but Bryan Adams is topping the list. I’ve never had the chance to see him and have been a huge fan for most of my life. To get you primed up for the big show, here are a few fun facts about one of Canada’s most successful artists:
Bryan’s father was a foreign service diplomat for the United Nations. The family moved around a lot and young Bryan lived in Portugal, Israel, Japan and Austria.
His first record contract was for a dollar. That’s right, A BUCK! Contracts need to have money attached to make them legal and since they didn’t want to give Adams any, they went as low as possible, that being $1.
His album Reckless was HUGE! It was the first album by a Canadian to sell a million copies in our country. It also happened to be released on his 25th Birthday. That must have been a good B-Day!
Bryan has been on a Canadian stamp!
Bryan is a successful photographer. So not only has he been on a stamp, but one of his photos has been as well. You may recognize his subject!
