Province Tackling Opioid Crisis

The provincial government prepare to take pharmacuetical companies to court over the production of opioids.

Attorney General Caroline Mulroney says proposed legislation would allow Ontario to recover health care paid out to deal to treat people.

“If passed, it will allow us to take further action to battle the ongoing opiod crisis.”

Mulroney says any awards would be directed back to frontline mental health and addiction services.
