Lakehead Public Schools, Thunder Bay’s Catholic School Board and the French Catholic School Board are flying the Pride flag during the month of June.
Thunder Bay’s Pride Association Chair Jason Veltri tells us it’s a gigantic step in the right direction.
“There was never a no, it was always yes, let’s make it happen. I think as we move forward, we still have work to do with them but this is a truly historic day for the boards, students and staff.”
The board’s are flying the flag outside of their offices to foster messages of inclusion and acceptance.
