Cancer Fundraiser Open To Everyone

Organizers with Cops for Cancer are looking for willing participants for this year’s head shaving event.

Spokesperson Maria Cabral says although it started with law enforcement, they want to see everyone take part.

“The event’s not only open to law enforcement. It’s open to all the general public. So, little kids that need their hair cuts for spring, it’s a great motivator who see police officers with their short hair cuts, and want to be a little vocal hero.”

The event runs from ten until one today at the Thunder Bay Country Market.

Organizers hope to raise $20,000 but aren’t concerned if they don’t.
