Councilor Frowns At Redwood Roundabout

The idea of a traffic roundabout at the corner of Redwood and Edward doesn’t sit well with the councilor for Northwood.

When 99.9 The Bay morning show host John Ongaro asked Shelby Ch’ng this morning if that’s because of people walking to Chapples, she said no.

“If we can do stop signs there, that would be even better. But the cost, I mean, pedestrian traffic, I don’t have pedestrian counts on there, but that would be interesting to get”.

The Northwood councilor added roundabouts will be considered for other locations, but wasn’t sure where when asked.

She also expressed satisfaction in knowing a traffic circle won’t go at Victoria and Ford, and the lights at the Lillie intersection will be coming down.
