Contractor Seeing Spring Business Increase

A local contractor is starting to see business increase with the melting snow and runoff.

Mike Meany of Contracting Kings tells us many homeowners are finding their basements are leaking.

Meaning explains “there have been lots of holes from the extreme cracking” adding in some basements it is so bad it looks like “a water fountain coming through the wall basically non-stop.”

He also points out there are a lot of older homes in the city which do not have their basements waterproofed.

He says it’s going to be “a busy season for sure” noting there have been more calls this year than last.

The local contractor advises you to keep eavestroughs clear and direct water away from your house.
