With the new year almost here, the Mayor isn’t saying what cuts we might see in the 2019 budget.
However, Bill Mauro indicates he wants Council to be cautious with their spending during budget talks in February.
“People on the campaign trail told us taxation and the cost of living was a concern to them, and that part we can control.”
The Mayor feels the city should be prepared to deal with any unexpected financial challenges like changes to provincial assistance.
