Police HQ Could Be Studied

In the new year, City Council will be asked to approve $175,000 for a consultant tasked at evaluating the state of police headquarters.

Chief Sylvie Hauth hopes council will give their blessing so they can hire someone as soon as possible.

“We are hoping to have an RFP in place at the end of February, early March. It would be nice to have something back to council in terms of a final report by year end.”

The consultant will determine how much it would cost to replace the existing building compared to how much it would cost to upgrade their current one.
