With the arrival of the first ocean going ship in Thunder Bay this week, the port’s CEO is glad to see the season start, although delayed about a week.

The Captain of the Federal Bering was awarded the Thunder Bay top hat for being the first ocean ship for the season.
The ship arrived from Russia, is loading grain from western Canada before it picks up more in Quebec, with a final destination of Casablanca, Morocco.
