Zaitzeff Sees One Set Of Sexual Related Charges Discharged

High profile community member Alexander Sandy Zaitzeff won’t see one set of sexual related charges go to trial.

An out of town judge David Harris decided to discharge him on all four counts he was facing.

Harris decided to not bring the case to trial because there was no evidence for a jury to convict him on.

A single witness was to testify in court today but didn’t appear leading to the judge’s decision.

Defence lawyer Scott Hutchison told our newsroom that his client is gratified with how things turned out today and looks forward to moving on.

Zaitzeff still faces a number of other sexual assault related charges that are coming before court in April.
