A donation from a local service club is helping Elevate NWO offer a women’s health clinic.
Clinic Coordinator Tonya Muchino is thrilled with the over $1,500 donation from the Soroptimist International of Thunder Bay.
“To do all kinds of programming it feels like the sky is the limit now. We can really provide amazing resources.”
Elevate NWO Executive Director Holly Gauvin tells us their program has grown in the year it’s been running.
When they first started the clinic they saw only two to three women and now almost 20 take part every month.
The clinic is run by Elevate NWO and is offered the second Tuesday of each month and helps women who are at risk of HIV and Hepatitis C. (File photo)
