Guard Allegedly Bit In Walmart Incident

A 20-year old Thunder Bay woman is facing a number of charges, including assaulting a security guard, following an incident at Walmart.

Police say they arrived at the store on Memorial just after 7:30 last night.

They tell us the woman was trying to leave without paying for beer, and when a security guard tried to stop her, she allegedly bit him on the hand.

Police say she claimed to not understand English, so after trying with translators and Google Translate, she eventually spoke English, but gave a false name and gave false allegations of a kidnapping.

The woman appeared in court today, and was released with a future court date.
