A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for the city of thunder bay and surrounding area for this afternoon and tonight.
Snowfall amounts of up to 10 centimetres, with peak rates of 2 to 3 centimetres per hour, is expected to create reduced visibility and slippery surfaces.
The snow will be lighter during the overnight hours but could be replaced with some freezing drizzle leading into Tuesday morning.
Motorists should expect hazardous conditions and adjust their travel plans accordingly.
