Waterfront BIA Talks Falconer Funding

Dealing with pesky birds in the city’s downtown north core doesn’t come cheap.

The Waterfront District BIA will discuss how to get government grants at they’re board meeting tomorrow.

Vice-chair Jim Comuzzi says hiring a falconer carries a price tag of about $5,000 a month, for a five-month period.

Comuzzi says the falconer will also implement other solutions to keep the seagulls away, such as noisemakers on the roof tops of buildings. He hopes a falconer will be in the air by May 1.
