Dealing with pesky birds in the city’s downtown north core doesn’t come cheap.

Vice-chair Jim Comuzzi says hiring a falconer carries a price tag of about $5,000 a month, for a five-month period.
Comuzzi says the falconer will also implement other solutions to keep the seagulls away, such as noisemakers on the roof tops of buildings. He hopes a falconer will be in the air by May 1.
