Thunder Bay Police are issuing a warning after they received several complaints against unlicensed lottery and raffle groups operating on social media.
Police say any website like a Facebook page operating a lottery without a licence is an offence and could result in criminal charges.
They also are reminding you to avoid unlicensed lotteries and raffles as they may be a case of fraud.
