American tourists visiting Canada are being warned to be cautious by the US State Department.
The government issued a public bulletin in which they said concern over terrorists targeting Americans while abroad prompted the warning.
Tourists are instructed to keep a low profile, be alert in public places, and to vary travel routes and times so as to reduce predictability.
The US did not officially raise the travel advisory for Canada from its current lowest level.
