UPDATE: Suspect Apprehended In Pride Symbol Vandalism Case

Thunder Bay Police have a man in custody linked to an incident of vandalism of a Pride flag.

Police were tipped off back in August with the latest one occurring on the night of Monday, August 30th at a house on Marks Street South near Walsh Street.

The investigation also looked at similar incidents of vandalism, in which Pride signs, “Hate Has No Home Here” signs, and Orange T-shirts were targeted.

The accused made contact with the authorities and charges are pending.

The identity of the accused is being withheld as charges have not been sworn before the courts.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
