UPDATE: Local School Going To Virtual Learning

In what is being called a precautionary measure, St Martin School will temporarily switch to an online learning format.

This will begin Friday, November 19th and will last until early to mid next week.

There is a potential this time frame could be extended, and the move is in partnership with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

At the time of this decision there were four more cases added to the school’s outbreak count, bringing the total to nine.

Local Medical Officer of Health has said in a letter that “Further communication will be provided in days to come.”

Individuals who have been deemed as a high risk contact have been contacted by a Public Health Nurse.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
