There are now three candidates in the running to be the next Mayor of Thunder Bay.
Current At-Large councillor Peng You made it known at the Canada Day festivities that he wants to make the move after an unsuccessful run in the Ontario Election in the Thunder Bay-Superior North riding.
Right now he is acting mayor and filed the nomination papers on Tuesday.
Bill Mauro announced last week that he’s not going for a second term in the municipal election.
The other two other individuals in the race are Gary Mack and Robert Szczepanski.
The election is Monday, October 24th.
