The contract between the city and workers passes a much needed hurdle.
Council voted unanimously Monday night in favour of a new contract between CUPE Local 87 and the corporation of Thunder Bay.
The roughly 600 employees voted for the contract last week following a pair of days of bargaining with the assistance of a provincial conciliator that helped get both sides to a deal.
The new deal will expire in January of 2023.
