Local labour unions in the city are hoping to put health care on the federal election agenda.
Unifor members hosted a rally today to bring attention to the government’s plan to slash $36 billion in funding to the provinces for transfers on health care.

Jefford says Thunder Bay is already feeling the effects of these cuts, with over 1,000 people already waiting for a long term care bed. (Photo: Caryn Ceolin)
