Unifor President Pleased With PM

Following an address this week by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to Unifor, the leader of Canada’s largest union in the private sector is very pleased with some of the acions taken already.

Jerry Dias noted that the government has already made the largest improvements to the Canada Pension Plan.

He also said one of Trudeau’s first moves since taking office was repealing what he calls anti-union legislation put in by former PM Stephen Harper.

Dias says Trudeau recognizes the importance of labour in the country, with decent paying jobs, and not part-time, non-standard jobs.
