Once cannabis is legal is Canada, you’ll have to remember to leave your stash at home if you want to cross the United States border.
If you are found crossing the border with cannabis, medical or recreational, in your possession, you will have to face the consequences.
That could be a fine or even being taken into custody since marijuana will stay illegal under federal law in the United States.
A spokesperson for U.S. Customs and Border Protection tells us officers will continue to enforce the law.
