Thunder Bay fire and police personnel were able to help with a water rescue on Lake Superior near Marina Park.
It happened around 1:30 this afternoon.
A Thunder Bay Fire Rescue official says at least three people, two police officers and one woman, were pulled out of the 42 degree water, one of them was hanging on to a buoy.
The officers dove into the water attempting to rescue the woman when they became in need of rescuing themselves.
Police claim the woman had jumped into the water.
This is the first time fire officials were able to use their new rescue boat which crews were training on this week.
