Separate south side fires had crews busy.
The first was a garage blaze at a South Archibald garage around 2:00 a.m. Friday that did not cause serious damage.
Then just before 3:00 a.m. flames broke out at a residential unit at South Syndicate.
Those within the home evacuated without the need of assistance from the fire department.
The cause of both fires are under investigation.
