Two men from the North Spirit Lake First Nation have been charged in connection to a stabbing incident in the community.
Early Sunday morning, police were called to a home in the community about a assault. According to the OPP, one person was stabbed and had to be airlifted to hospital for treatment.
As a result of their investigation, officers arrested 25 year old Albert Gabrie and 19 year old Jay Sakchekapo, both from North Spirit Lake.
They are due to appear in Dryden Court today on a charge of assault with a weapon.
