Making a donation on behalf of the late Tom Jones.
Council on Monday made it to the TA Jones Scholarship Fund at Lakehead University.
The former member of City Council lost his life on January 18th at the age of 80.
Jones was inducted into the Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 1988 for his accomplishments as a car racer.
He also served a pair of terms on the Board of Governors of Lakehead University and on the Tbaytel Board.
He assumed control of the Tom Jones Corporation in the middle of the 1960’s.
