Toothbrushing 101…….in school?

From this morning’s “TODAY IN THE BAY”:

Guess what they’re adding to the school curriculum in Quebec? Toothbrushing 101.

It’ll be phased in to all Quebec elementary schools. Teachers will have to supervise their students brushing their teeth. During the school day, students will have to brush their teeth in what’s called a “two minute brushing process” – at least once a day.

The teachers association is saying they’re not questioning the value of it, but are asking: why is this now going to be part of their job, ensuring their students’ teeth are clean? Daycare’s will also be required for this…for kids 4 and under.

Do you think Teacher’s should be responsible to oversee “toothbrushing”??
