Today would have been Michael Jackson’s 66th birthday.

Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, and died on June 25, 2009. He would’ve been 66 this year. Jackson grew up in the spotlight, becoming an international superstar before he was a teenager. With his brothers, the Jackson 5, he created music that spanned generations. When Jackson went solo, he became more of a phenom with classic albums like Off The Wall, Thriller, and Bad.

Michael was one of the biggest beneficiaries of the early music video era as he created visuals that went with his dynamic songs. He gained the title, The King Of Pop, selling over 400 million records worldwide. Jackson was the first artist to have a Top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100 in five different decades. He had 13 total number one singles.

Michael is in the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame twice, and music and memories will live on for years to come.
