Premier Doug Ford is expected to make an announcement soon extending the lower time of use electricity rates for Ontarians.
The original announcement set the lower price for hydro up until May 7th, something Ford says will be extended.
“Yes, it’s going to be extended for a little bit, and that announcement will come a little bit later in the week there,” Ford confirmed.
We have been paying off-peak rates of 10.1 cents a kilowatt-hour for almost 45-days during the pandemic.
