Thunder Bay To Celebrate Neighbour Day

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the city is still encouraging you to connect with your neighbours.

City Council gave the go-ahead for a campaign to promote Neighbour Day, which is celebrated in communities like Kitchener and Calgary.

It will be held on June 20th and city officials suggest you mark the day by talking to neighbours on social media, decorating your windows or lawn, sending cards, or doing something kind for a neighbour.

Councillors approved $6,000 for this year’s campaign, using unused funds from its Street Event Grant program.
