Thunder Bay staff set to respond to localized flooding

Following a significant rainstorm on Monday and the ongoing spring melt, localized flooding has been reported in several places in the Thunder Bay area.

According to the city, the rural McIntyre area has been most affected, with some roads experiencing washouts.

As water levels begin to recede, crews will be deployed to assess damage and begin road repairs as quickly and safely as possible.

Residents are urged to exercise extra caution when approaching any flooded areas.

Do not attempt to drive through standing water, and be mindful of road closures and detours.

If you encounter any flooding-related issues or hazards, please report them to Thunder Bay’s Dispatch at 807-625-2915.
